Narrated Anas (may Allah be pleased with him): On the day of Uhud the tooth of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was broken and his head was wounded. He kept wiping away the blood and said, "How can a people prosper who wounded their Prophet and broke his tooth, while he was calling them to Allah the Exalted?" At that moment this verse was revealed: "You have no authority in the matter; whether Allah pardons them or punishes them, for they are wrongdoers" (Al Imran: 128).
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکا دانت احد کے دن ٹوٹا اور سر پر زخم لگا۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمخون کو صاف کرتے جاتے اور فرماتے تھے کہ اس قوم کی فلاح کیسے ہو گی جس نے اپنے پیغمبر کو زخمی کیا اور اس کا دانت توڑا حالانکہ وہ ان کو اللہ تعالیٰ کی طرف بلاتا تھا۔ اس وقت یہ آیت اتری کہ”تمہارا کچھ اختیار نہیں اللہ تعالیٰ چاہے ان کو معاف کرے اور چاہے عذاب دے کیونکہ وہ ظالم ہیں“(آل عمران: 128)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1163]
