Narrated Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to dislike the ashkal horse. In another narration it is stated that the ashkal horse is one whose right hind leg and left foreleg are white, or whose right foreleg and left hind leg are white. (And according to the philologists, the correct view is that ashkal refers to a horse that has three white legs, with no whiteness above.) [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1107]

سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلماشکل گھوڑے کو برا جانتے تھے۔ ایک دوسری روایت میں ہے کہ اشکل گھوڑا وہ ہے جس کا داہنا پاؤں اور بایاں ہاتھ سفید ہو یا داہنا ہاتھ اور بایاں پاؤں سفید ہو۔ (اور اہل لغت کے نزدیک صحیح یہ ہے کہ اشکل اس گھوڑے کو کہتے ہیں جس کے تین پاؤں سفیدی والے ہوں اوپر سفیدی نہ ہو)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1107]
