وَحَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعِيدٍ - عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُغِيرُ إِذَا طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ وَكَانَ يَسْتَمِعُ الأَذَانَ فَإِنْ سَمِعَ أَذَانًا أَمْسَكَ وَإِلاَّ أَغَارَ فَسَمِعَ رَجُلاً يَقُولُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ " . ثُمَّ قَالَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " خَرَجْتَ مِنَ النَّارِ " . فَنَظَرُوا فَإِذَا هُوَ رَاعِي مِعْزًى .
الترجمة الإنجليزية
And Zuhayr ibn Harb narrated to me, he said Yahya, meaning Ibn Sa'id, narrated to us from Hammad ibn Salama, he said Thabit narrated to us from Hadrat Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be well pleased with him), who said: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) would attack (the enemy) at the time of dawn and would listen for the Adhan; if he heard the Adhan, he would halt, otherwise he would launch the attack. (Once it happened that) he heard a man saying: Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) remarked: 'He is upon the Fitra (Islam).' Then the man said: I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, I bear witness that there is no god but Allah. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'You have come out of the Fire.' The Companions (may Allah be well pleased with them) then looked and found that he was a goatherd.
الترجمة الأردية
اور مجھ سے زہیر بن حرب نے حدیث بیان کی، کہا ہم سے یحییٰ یعنی ابن سعید نے حماد بن سلمہ سے حدیث بیان کی، کہا ہم سے ثابت نے حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی، انہوں نے فرمایا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم (دشمن پر) طلوعِ فجر کے وقت حملہ فرماتے تھے اور اذان پر کان لگائے رکھتے تھے، اگر اذان سن لیتے تو رُک جاتے ورنہ حملہ فرما دیتے۔ (ایک مرتبہ ایسا ہوا کہ) آپ نے ایک شخص کو کہتے ہوئے سنا: اللہ اکبر اللہ اکبر۔ تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: "فطرت (اسلام) پر ہے۔" پھر اس نے کہا: اشہد ان لا الہ الا اللہ، اشہد ان لا الہ الا اللہ۔ تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: "تو آگ سے نکل گیا۔" پھر صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہم نے دیکھا تو وہ بکریوں کا چرواہا تھا۔
