وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ، اسْتَفْتَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ هَلْ يَنَامُ أَحَدُنَا وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ قَالَ " نَعَمْ لِيَتَوَضَّأْ ثُمَّ لْيَنَمْ حَتَّى يَغْتَسِلَ إِذَا شَاءَ " .
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hadrat Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them both) reported: Hadrat 'Umar (may Allah be well pleased with him) asked the verdict of the Shari'ah from the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) thus: Is it permissible for any one of us to sleep in a state of impurity? He (the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'Yes, he must perform ablution and then sleep and take a bath when he desires.'
الترجمة الأردية
ابن جریج سے روایت ہے (کہا:) مجھے نافع نے حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت کرتے ہوئے خبر دی کہ حضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے فتویٰ دریافت کیا اور عرض کیا: کیا ہم میں سے کوئی شخص جنابت کی حالت میں سو سکتا ہے؟ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: ''ہاں، وضو کر لے پھر (اس وقت تک کے لیے) سو جائے جب وہ غسل کرنا چاہے۔''
