حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جُنْدُبًا، يَقُولُ أَبْطَأَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ قَدْ وُدِّعَ مُحَمَّدٌ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ { وَالضُّحَى * وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَى * مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَى}
الترجمة الإنجليزية
It has been narrated on the authority of Aswad b. Qais who heard Jundub saying that Gabriel delayed his visit to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) The polytheists began to say that Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) has been forsaken. At this Allah, the Glorious and Exalted, revealed:" Wa'dd hd wa'l-laili iza saja, ma wadda'ka Rabbuka wa' ma qala" [By the glorious morning light, and by the night when it is still: thy Lord has not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased]
الترجمة الأردية
سفیان بن اسود بن قیس سے روایت کی کہ انہوں نے جندب رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کو یہ کہتے ہوئے سنا کہ ایک بار رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے پاس جبرائیل علیہ السلام کی آمد میں تاخیر ہو گئی ، مشرکین کہنے لگے کہ محمد صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو الوداع کہہ دیا گیا ۔ تو اللہ عزوجل نے یہ نازل فرمایا : " قسم ہے دھوپ چڑھتے وقت کی ، اور قسم ہے رات کی جب وہ چھا جائے! ( اے نبی! ) آپ نے رب نے نہ آپ کو رخصت کیا اور نہ بیزار ہوا
