وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «ذَاكَ الرَّجُلُ أَرْفَعُ أُمَّتِي دَرَجَةً فِي الْجَنَّةِ». قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ: وَاللَّهِ مَا كُنَّا نُرَى ذَلِكَ الرَّجُلَ إِلَّا عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ حَتَّى مَضَى لِسَبِيلِهِ. رَوَاهُ ابْن مَاجَه
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The most merciful of my ummah toward my ummah is Abu Bakr; the most strict in the matter of Allah is 'Umar; the most genuinely modest is 'Uthman; the best judge is 'Ali; the most knowledgeable in the lawful and unlawful is Mu'adh ibn Jabal; the most learned in the obligations of inheritance is Zayd ibn Thabit; and the best reciter is Ubayy ibn Ka'b. Every ummah has a trustworthy guardian, and the trustworthy guardian of this ummah is Abu 'Ubaydah ibn al-Jarrah." Reported by Tirmidhi.
الترجمة الأردية
ابوسعید رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا:”وہ آدمی میری امت میں سے جنت میں ایک درجہ بلند مقام پر فائز ہو گا۔“ابوسعید رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا: اللہ کی قسم! ہمارے خیال میں وہ آدمی عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ ہی ہیں حتیٰ کہ وہ وفات پا گئے۔ اسنادہ ضعیف، رواہ ابن ماجہ۔[مشكوة المصابيح/كتاب المناقب/حدیث: 6053]
