Hadrat Samura b. Jundub told that one of the things God’s messenger often asked his companions was, “Has any of you had a vision?” Then anyone whom God wished to do so would tell him. One morning he said to them, “Two people came to me last night and rousing me told me to set out, so I set out along with them.”
He mentioned at length something similar to the tradition mentioned in the first section, but it contains this addition which is not in the aforementioned tradition:“We came to a luxuriant garden containing all kinds of Spring blossom in the middle of which there was a man who was so tall that I could scarcely see his head, so high it went up into the sky; and around the man there were more children than I had ever seen. I asked my companions who this was and who these were, but they told me to come away. So we went on and came to a huge garden than which I had never seen any larger or more beautiful. They told me to go up into it, and when we had done so we came to a city built of gold and silver bricks. When we came to the gate of the city we asked that it should be opened, and when that was done and we had entered we were met by men half of whose frame was like the most beautiful you could see while the other half was like the most ugly you could see. There was a river opposite flowing with water as white as pure milk, and my companions told them to go and plunge into that river. They did so and returned to us having had that ugliness removed from them and having become most beautiful in appearance."
In the exposition of this addition he mentioned, “The tall man who was in the garden was Abraham (upon him be peace) and the children who were around him were all who had been born and had died following the true religion."
Some Muslims asked God’s messenger about the children of the polytheists, and he replied that they were there too. He continued: “The people who, were half beautiful and half ugly were people Who had mixed a good deed with another which was evil and had been forgiven by God."

حضرت سمرہ بن جندب رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اکثر اپنے صحابہ سے فرماتے: کیا تم میں سے کسی نے خواب دیکھا ہے؟ تو جسے اللہ چاہتا بیان کرتا۔ ایک صبح آپ نے ہم سے فرمایا: آج رات میرے پاس دو شخص آئے، انہوں نے مجھے اٹھایا اور کہا: چلو۔ میں ان کے ساتھ چلا۔ (پھر آپ نے پہلے فصل کی طویل حدیث جیسا ہی بیان فرمایا لیکن اس میں یہ اضافہ ہے:) ہم ایک گھنے سرسبز باغ میں پہنچے جس میں ہر قسم کے بہاری پھول تھے اور باغ کے درمیان ایک لمبا آدمی تھا جس کا سر اتنا اونچا تھا کہ آسمان میں مشکل سے دکھائی دیتا تھا، اور اس شخص کے ارد گرد اتنے بچے تھے جتنے میں نے کبھی نہیں دیکھے۔ میں نے پوچھا: یہ کون ہے اور یہ کون ہیں؟ انہوں نے کہا: آگے چلو۔ ہم آگے چلے اور ایک بڑے باغ میں پہنچے جس سے بڑا اور خوبصورت میں نے کبھی نہیں دیکھا۔ انہوں نے کہا: اس میں اوپر چلو۔ ہم اوپر چلے اور ایک شہر میں پہنچے جو سونے اور چاندی کی اینٹوں سے بنا ہوا تھا۔ ہم نے شہر کے دروازے پر آ کر کھلوایا تو دروازہ کھولا گیا اور ہم اندر داخل ہوئے۔ وہاں ہمیں ایسے لوگ ملے جن کا آدھا حصہ بہت خوبصورت تھا اور آدھا حصہ بہت بدصورت۔ انہوں نے ان سے کہا: جاؤ اس نہر میں گرو۔ ایک نہر سامنے بہہ رہی تھی جس کا پانی خالص دودھ کی طرح سفید تھا۔ وہ نہر میں گئے اور واپس آئے تو ان کی بدصورتی دور ہو چکی تھی اور وہ بہترین صورت میں ہو گئے تھے۔ اس اضافے کی تعبیر میں بیان فرمایا: لمبا شخص جو باغ میں تھا وہ حضرت ابراہیم علیہ السلام ہیں اور ان کے ارد گرد جو بچے ہیں وہ ہر بچہ ہے جو فطرت پر فوت ہوا۔ بعض مسلمانوں نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! کیا مشرکوں کے بچے بھی؟ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: ہاں مشرکوں کے بچے بھی۔ اور وہ لوگ جو آدھے خوبصورت اور آدھے بدصورت تھے وہ ایسے لوگ ہیں جنہوں نے نیک عمل اور برے عمل ملا دیے تھے، اللہ تعالیٰ نے انہیں معاف فرما دیا۔ بخاری نے روایت کیا۔
