وَعَن عَائِشَة إِنَّهُمْ ذَبَحُوا شَاةً فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَا بَقِيَ مِنْهَا؟» قَالَتْ: مَا بَقِي مِنْهَا إِلَّا كتفها قَالَ: «بَقِي كلهَا غير كتفها» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ وَصَححهُ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
‘A’isha said the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) asked how much was left of a sheep which they had killed, and when she told him that only its shoulder Remained, he replied, “The whole of it is left except its shoulder.”* Tirmidhi transmitted it and said it is sahih. * Meaning that what one gives to others has lasting value, as such giving is fundamentally done for God’s sake; whereas what one keeps indicates selfishness and so has only transient value.
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا فرماتی ہیں کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے پوچھا: ذبح کی ہوئی بکری میں سے کیا بچا ہے؟ جب انہوں نے بتایا کہ صرف دستی (بازو) بچا ہے تو آپ نے فرمایا: دستی کے سوا سب بچا ہے (یعنی جو تقسیم کر دیا وہ باقی ہے اور جو رکھا وہ فنا ہونے والا ہے)۔ (ترمذی نے اسے صحیح کہا)
