عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا قَامَ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ يَتَهَجَّدُ قَالَ: «اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ قَيِّمُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ نُورُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ مَلِكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَنْتَ الْحَقُّ وَوَعْدُكَ الْحَقُّ وَلِقَاؤُكَ حَقٌّ وَقَوْلُكَ حَقٌّ وَالْجَنَّةُ حَقٌّ وَالنَّارُ حَقٌّ وَالنَّبِيُّونَ حَقٌّ وَمُحَمَّدٌ حَقٌّ وَالسَّاعَةُ حَقٌّ اللَّهُمَّ لَكَ أَسْلَمْتُ وَبِكَ آمَنْتُ وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَإِلَيْكَ أَنَبْتُ وَبِكَ خَاصَمْتُ وَإِلَيْكَ حَاكَمْتُ فَاغْفِرْ لِي مَا قَدَّمْتُ وَمَا أَخَّرْتُ وَمَا أَسْرَرْتُ وَمَا أَعْلَنْتُ وَمَا أَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنِّي أَنْتَ الْمُقَدِّمُ وَأَنْتَ الْمُؤَخِّرُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ وَلَا إِلَهَ غَيْرك»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hadrat Ibn ‘Abbas told how the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated when he got up during the night to pray, “O God, to Thee be the praise; Thou art supreme over the heavens and the earth and their inhabitants. To Thee be the praise; Thou art the Light of the heavens and the earth and their inhabitants. To Thee be the praise; Thou art the King of the heavens and the earth and their inhabitants. To Thee be the praise; Thou art the Truth, Thy promise is truth, the meeting with Thee is true, Thy word is true, paradise is true, hell is true, the prophets are true, Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) is true, the last hour is true. O God, to Thee I submit, in Thee I believe upon Thee I trust, to Thee I repent, by Thy help I have disputed, and to Thee I have come for decision, so forgive me my former and my latter sins, my secret and my open sins, and what Thou knowest better than I. Thou art He who brings forward, and Thou art He who defers. There is no god but Thee, and there is no other god than Thee.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم جب رات کو تہجد کے لیے کھڑے ہوتے تو یہ دعا پڑھتے: اللّٰہُمَّ لَکَ الْحَمْدُ اَنْتَ قَیِّمُ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِیْہِنَّ وَلَکَ الْحَمْدُ اَنْتَ نُوْرُ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَمَنْ فِیْہِنَّ (اے اللہ! تیرے لیے حمد ہے، تو آسمانوں اور زمین اور جو کچھ ان میں ہے سب کا نگہبان ہے، تیرے لیے حمد ہے، تو آسمانوں اور زمین اور جو کچھ ان میں ہے سب کا نور ہے)، پھر فرماتے: تیرے لیے حمد ہے تو حق ہے، تیرا وعدہ حق ہے، تیری ملاقات حق ہے، تیری بات حق ہے، جنت حق ہے، جہنم حق ہے، انبیاء حق ہیں، محمد حق ہیں، قیامت حق ہے۔ اے اللہ! تیرے لیے میں نے اسلام قبول کیا، تجھ پر ایمان لایا، تجھ پر بھروسہ کیا، تیری طرف رجوع کیا، تیرے لیے جھگڑا کیا، تجھے حَکم بنایا، پس تو میری اگلی پچھلی، چھپی اور ظاہر خطائیں بخش دے۔ تو ہی آگے کرنے والا ہے اور تو ہی پیچھے کرنے والا ہے، تیرے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں۔ (متفق علیہ)
