Yahya (upon him be peace) related to me from Malik from Hadrat Zayd ibn Aslam from Ata ibn
Yasar that Abdullah ibn Abbas said, "There was an eclipse of the sun
and the Beloved Messenger of Allah prayed, and the people prayed with him. He stood for a long time,
nearly as long as (it takes to recite) Surat al-Baqara (Sura 2), and
then went into ruku for a long time. Then he rose and stood for a long
time, though less than the first time.Then he went into ruku for a
long time, though less than the first time. Then he went down into
sajda. Then he stood for a long time, though less than the first time.
Then he went into ruku for a long time, though less than the first
time. Then he rose and stood for a long time, though less than the
firsttime. Then he went into ruku for a long time, though less than
the first time. Then he went down into sajda, and by the time he had
finished the sun had appeared. Then he said, 'The sun and the moon are
two of Allah's signs. They do not eclipse for anyone's death nor for
anyone's life. When you see an eclipse, remember Allah.' They said,
'Beloved Messenger of Allah, we saw you reach out for something while you were
standing here and then we saw you withdraw.' He said, 'I saw the
Garden and I reached out for a bunch of grapes from it, and if I had
taken it you would have been able to eat from it for as long as this
world lasted. Then I saw the Fire - and I have never seen anything
more hideous than what I saw today - and I saw that most of its
people were women.' They said, 'Why, Beloved Messenger of Allah?' He said,
'Because of their ungratefulness (kufr).' Someone said, 'Are they
ungrateful toAllah?' He said, 'They are ungrateful to their husbands
and they are ungrateful for good behaviour (towards them) . Even if
you were to behave well towards one of them for a whole lifetime and
then she were to see you do something (that she did not like) she
would say that she had never seen anything good from you.' "
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ گہن لگا سورج میں تو نماز پڑھی رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اور لوگوں نے ساتھ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے پھر کھڑے ہوئے آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم دیر تک جیسے سورت بقرہ پڑھنے میں دیر ہوتی ہے پھر رکوع کیا ایک لمبا رکوع پھر سر اٹھایا پھر کھڑے ہوئے آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم بڑی دیر تک لیکن پہلے قیام سے کچھ کم پھر رکوع کیا ایک رکوع لمبا لیکن اول رکوع سے کچھ کم پھر سجدہ کیا پھر کھڑے ہوئے آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم بڑی دیر تک لیکن اول قیام سے کچھ کم پھر رکوع کیا لمبا رکوع لیکن اول رکوع سے کم پھر سر اٹھایا پھر کھڑے ہوئے بڑی دیر تک لیکن اول قیام سے کچھ کم پھر رکوع کیا ایک لمبا رکوع لیکن اول رکوع سے کچھ کم پھر سجدہ کیا تو فارغ ہوئے آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نماز سے اور آفتاب روشن ہو گیا تھا پس فرمایا آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے سورج اور چاند دو نشانیاں ہیں اللہ تعالیٰ کی نشانیوں میں سے، نہیں گہن لگتا ان میں سے کسی کی زندگی اور موت سے جب تم ایسا دیکھو تو ذکر کرو اللہ کا صحابہ نے کہا یا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ہم نے آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو دیکھا نماز میں آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم آگے بڑھے کسی چیز کو لینے کے لئے پھر پیچھے ہٹ آئے آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا پس دیکھا میں نے جنت کو پس لینا چاہا میں نے اس میں سے ایک گچھا اگر میرے ہاتھ لگ جاتا تو تم اس میں سے کھایا کرتے جب تک دنیا باقی رہتی اور میں نے دیکھا جہنم کو ایسی ہو لناک اور ہیبت صورت کہ کبھی میں نے ایس صورت نہ دیکھی ہے نہ دیکھی تھی اور میں نے دیکھا کہ جہنم میں عورتیں زیادہ ہیں صحابہ نے کہا کیوں یا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا کہ عورتوں کی نا شکری نے ان کو جہنم میں ڈالا کہا صحابہ نے کیا کفر کرتی تھیں ساتھ اللہ کے فرمایا آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے کفر کرتی ہیں یعنی نا شکری کرتی ہیں خاوند کی اور بھول جاتی ہیں احسان کو اگر کسی عورت کے ساتھ ساری عمر احسان کرو پھر کوئی رنج اس کو پہنچے تو کہنے لگتی ہے خاوند سے مجھے کبھی تجھ سے بھلائی نہیں پہنچی ۔
