It is narrated that Hadrat Abu Mahdhurah (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: "The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) taught me the Adhan with nineteen phrases and the Iqamah with seventeen. The Adhan is: Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar; Ash-hadu an la ilaha illallah, Ash-hadu an la ilaha illallah; Ash-hadu anna Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)an Rasulullah, Ash-hadu anna Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)an Rasulullah; Ash-hadu an la ilaha illallah, Ash-hadu an la ilaha illallah; Ash-hadu anna Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)an Rasulullah, Ash-hadu anna Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)an Rasulullah; Hayya 'alal-salah, Hayya 'alal-salah; Hayya 'alal-falah, Hayya 'alal-falah; Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar; La ilaha illallah (Allah is the Most great, Allah is the most Great, Allah is the most Great, Allah is the most Great; I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah; I bear witness that Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) is the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), I bear witness that Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) is the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him); I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah; I bear witness that Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) is the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), I bear witness that Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) is the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him); Come to the Prayer, Come to the Prayer; Come to the prosperity, Come to the prosperity; Allah is the Most great, Allah is the Most Great; None has the right to be worshipped but Allah). الترجمة الأردية
حضرت ابومحذورہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے مجھے اذان کے لیے انیس کلمات اور اقامت کے لیے سترہ کلمات سکھائے، اذان کے کلمات یہ ہیں:«الله أكبر الله أكبر الله أكبر الله أكبر أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله أشهد أن محمدا رسول الله أشهد أن محمدا رسول الله أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله أشهد أن محمدا رسول الله أشهد أن محمدا رسول الله حي على الصلاة حي على الصلاة حي على الفلاح حي على الفلاح الله أكبر الله أكبر لا إله إلا الله»۔ اللہ سب سے بڑا ہے، اللہ سب سے بڑا ہے، اللہ سب سے بڑا ہے، اللہ سب سے بڑا ہے، میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود برحق نہیں، میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود برحق نہیں، میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ محمد صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اللہ کے رسول ہیں، میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ محمد صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اللہ کے رسول ہیں، میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود برحق نہیں، میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود برحق نہیں، میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ محمد صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اللہ کے رسول ہیں، میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ محمد صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اللہ کے رسول ہیں، آؤ نماز کے لیے، آؤ نماز کے لیے، آؤ کامیابی کی طرف، آؤ کامیابی کی طرف، اللہ سب سے بڑا ہے، اللہ سب سے بڑا ہے، اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود برحق نہیں ۔ اور اقامت کے لیے سترہ کلمات یہ ہیں: «الله أكبر الله أكبر الله أكبر الله أكبر أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله أشهد أن محمدا رسول الله أشهد أن محمدا رسول الله حي على الصلاة حي على الصلاة حي على الفلاح حي على الفلاح قد قامت الصلاة قد قامت الصلاة الله أكبر الله أكبر لا إله إلا الله» اللہ سب سے بڑا ہے، اللہ سب سے بڑا ہے، اللہ سب سے بڑا ہے، اللہ سب سے بڑا ہے، میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود برحق نہیں، میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود برحق نہیں، میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ محمد صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اللہ کے رسول ہیں، میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ محمد صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اللہ کے رسول ہیں، آؤ نماز کے لیے، آؤ نماز کے لیے، آؤ کامیابی کی طرف، آؤ کامیابی کی طرف، نماز قائم ہو گئی، نماز قائم ہو گئی، اللہ سب سے بڑا ہے، اللہ سب سے بڑا ہے، اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود برحق نہیں ۱؎
