حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى رَأَيْتَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ مَاتَ وَهُوَ صَغِيرٌ وَلَوْ قُضِيَ أَنْ يَكُونَ بَعْدَ مُحَمَّدٍ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ نَبِيٌّ لَعَاشَ ابْنُهُ وَلَكِنْ لاَ نَبِيَّ بَعْدَهُ .
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Isma’il bin Abu Khalid said:“I said to ‘Abdullah bin Abi Awfa: ‘Did you see Ibrahim (upon him be peace), the son of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)?’ He said: ‘He died when he was small, and if it had been decreed that there should be any the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) after Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), his son would have lived. But there is no the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) after him.’”
الترجمة الأردية
اسماعیل بن ابی خالد کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے عبداللہ بن ابی اوفی رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے پوچھا: آپ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے صاحب زادے ابراہیم کو دیکھا ہے؟ انہوں نے کہا: ابراہیم بچپن ہی میں انتقال کر گئے، اور اگر نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے بعد کسی کا نبی ہونا مقدر ہوتا تو آپ کے بیٹے زندہ رہتے، لیکن آپ کے بعد کوئی نبی نہیں ہے ۱؎۔
