أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلُ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدَ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ جَاءَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ مُسْرِعًا فَصَعِدَ الْمِنْبَرَ فَنُودِيَ فِي النَّاسِ الصَّلَاةُ جَامِعَةً فَاجْتَمَعَ النَّاسُ فَقَالَ «أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنِّي لَمْ أَدْعُكُمْ لِرَغْبَةٍ وَلَا لِرَهْبَةٍ نَزَلَتْ وَلَكِنَّ تَمِيمًا الدَّارِيَّ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّ نَاسًا مِنْ أَهْلِ فِلَسْطِينَ رَكِبُوا الْبَحْرَ فَقَذَفَتْهُمُ الرِّيحُ إِلَى جَزِيرَةٍ مِنْ جَزَائِرِ الْبَحْرِ فَإِذَا هُمْ بِدَابَّةٍ لَا يُدْرَى أَذَكَرٌ هُوَ أَمْ أُنْثَى مِنْ كَثْرَةِ الشَّعْرِ فَقَالُوا مَنْ أَنْتِ؟ قَالَتْ أَنَا الْجَسَّاسَةُ قَالُوا أَخْبِرِينَا؟ قَالَتْ مَا أَنَا بِمُخْبِرَتِكُمْ وَلَا مُسْتَخْبِرَتِكُمْ وَلَكِنَّ هَاهُنَا مَنْ هُوَ فَقِيرٌ إِلَى أَنْ يُخْبِرَكُمْ وَإِلَى أَنْ يَسْتَخْبِرَكُمْ فَأَتَوَا الدَّيْرَ فَإِذَا بِرَجُلٍ مَرِيرٍ مُصَفَّدٍ بِالْحَدِيدِ فَقَالَ مَنْ أَنْتُمْ؟ قَالُوا نَحْنُ الْعَرَبُ قَالَ هَلْ بُعِثَ النَّبِيُّ؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ فَهَلْ تَبِعَتْهُ الْعَرَبُ؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ ذَلِكَ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ قَالَ مَا فَعَلَتْ فَارِسُ؟ قَالُوا لَمْ يَظْهَرْ عَلَيْهَا قَالَ أَمَا إِنَّهُ سَيَظْهَرُ عَلَيْهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ مَا فَعَلَتْ عَيْنُ زُغَرَ؟ قَالُوا تَدَفَّقُ مَلْأَى قَالَ فَمَا فَعَلَ نَخْلُ بَيْسَانَ؟ قَالُوا قَدْ أَطْعَمَ أَوَائِلُهُ فَوَثَبَ عَلَيْهِ وَثْبَةً حَتَّى خَشِينَا أَنْ سَيَغْلِبَ فَقُلْنَا مَنْ أَنْتَ؟ قَالَ أَنَا الدَّجَّالُ أَمَا إِنِّي سَأَطَأُ الْأَرْضَ كُلَّهَا إِلَّا مَكَّةَ وَطَيْبَةَ» فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَبْشِرُوا مَعْشَرَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ هَذِهِ طَيْبَةُ لَا يَدْخُلُهَا»

Al-Fadl ibn al-Hubab informed us, Ahmad ibn Yahya ibn Humayd al-Tawil narrated to us from Hammad ibn Salamah from Dawud ibn Abi Hind from al-Sha'bi from Fatimah bint Qays that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came one day hastening, ascended the pulpit, and the call was made among the people: 'The prayer is congregational.' The people gathered, and he said: "O people, I have not called you out of desire or fear that has descended, but Tamim al-Dari informed me that people from the people of Palestine sailed the sea, and the wind cast them to an island among the islands of the sea. There they found a creature - one could not tell if it was male or female due to the abundance of hair. They said: 'Who are you?' It said: 'I am al-Jassasah.' They said: 'Tell us.' It said: 'I will not inform you nor inquire of you, but here is one who is eager to inform you and to inquire of you.' They came to the monastery and found a man in distress, shackled in iron. He said: 'Who are you?' They said: 'We are the Arabs.' He said: 'Has the Prophet been sent?' They said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Have the Arabs followed him?' They said: 'Yes.' He said: 'That is good for them.' He said: 'What has Persia done?' They said: 'He has not prevailed over them.' He said: 'Indeed, he will prevail over them.' Then he said: 'What has the spring of Zughar done?' They said: 'It overflows full.' He said: 'What has the date-palms of Baysan done?' They said: 'They have given their first fruits.' He jumped such a leap that we feared he would overpower us. We said: 'Who are you?' He said: 'I am the Dajjal. Indeed, I will tread upon the entire earth except Makkah and Taybah.'" The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Rejoice, O community of Muslims, this is Taybah, he will not enter it."
