Al-Hasan ibn Sufyan informed us, Muhammad ibn Bakkar ibn al-Rayyan narrated to us, Isma'il ibn Zakariyya narrated to us from Muhammad ibn Ishaq from Asim ibn Umar ibn Qatadah from Mahmud ibn Labid from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The Dajjal will emerge and a man from among the believers will head toward him. The armed guards of the Dajjal will meet him and say to him: Where are you heading? He will say: I am heading toward this one who has emerged. They will say to him: Do you not believe in our lord? He will say: There is nothing hidden about our Lord. They will say: Kill him. Some of them will say to others: Has not your lord forbidden you from killing anyone without him? So they will take him to the Dajjal. When the believer sees him, he will say: O people, this is the Dajjal whom the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) mentioned. The Dajjal will command regarding him and he will be sawn in half from his head to his feet. Then he will walk between the two pieces and say to him: Stand up. So he will stand up. Then he will say to him: Do you believe in me? He will say: I have only increased in insight regarding you. Then he will say: O people, he will not do this to anyone after me. So the Dajjal will seize him to slaughter him, but his neck will be made like copper, and he will not have any way to harm him. So he will take him by his hands and feet and cast him away. The people will think that he has cast him into the Fire, but he will only be cast into Paradise." The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "This is the greatest martyr in rank before the Lord of the Worlds."
