أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ سُلَيْمِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ وَأَبِي الْيَمَانِ الْهَوْزَنِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِيِّ أَنَّ يَزِيدَ بْنَ الْأَخْنَسِ السُّلَمِيَّ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا سَعَةُ حَوْضِكَ؟ قَالَ «كَمَا بَيْنَ عَدْنٍ إِلَى عَمَّانَ وَأَنَّ فِيهِ مَثْعَبَيْنِ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَفِضَّةٍ» قَالَ فَمَا حَوْضُكَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ «أَشَدُّ بَيَاضًا مِنَ اللَّبَنِ وَأَحْلَى مَذَاقَةً مِنَ الْعَسَلِ وَأَطْيَبُ رَائِحَةً مِنَ الْمِسْكِ مَنْ شَرِبَ مِنْهُ لَمْ يَظْمَأْ أَبَدًا وَلَمْ يَسْوَدْ وَجْهُهُ أَبَدًا»

Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Salm narrated to us, he said: Amr ibn Uthman narrated to us, he said: Muhammad ibn Harb narrated to us, he said: Safwan ibn Amr narrated to us, from Sulaym ibn Amir and Abu al-Yaman al-Hawzani, from Abu Umamah al-Bahili, that Yazid ibn al-Akhnas al-Sulami said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what is the width of your Basin?' He said: 'Like the distance from Aden to Amman, and it has two channels of gold and silver.' He said: 'What is your Basin, O Prophet of Allah?' He said: 'Whiter than milk, sweeter in taste than honey, and more fragrant than musk. Whoever drinks from it will never thirst again and his face will never darken.'
