أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ الْجُمَحِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ كُنَّا فِي جَنَازَةِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ بْنِ الْعَلَاءِ وَمَعَنَا شُعْبَةُ فَلَمَّا دُفِنَ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ حَدَّثَنِي هَذَا وَأَشَارَ إِلَى قَبْرِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ بْنِ الْعَلَاءِ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِلْحَسَنِ مَنْ حَدَّثَكَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَوْلَا أَنَّ الْكِلَابَ أُمَّةٌ مِنَ الْأُمَمِ لَأَمَرْتُ بِقَتْلِهَا» فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُغَفَّلِ وَاللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ حَدَّثَنِي فِي هَذَا الْمَسْجِدِ وَأَوْمَأَ إِلَى مَسْجِدِ الْجَامِعِ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Khalifa informed us, Muhammad ibn Sallam al-Jumahi narrated to us, Sa'id ibn Ubayd narrated to us saying: We were at the funeral of Abu Sufyan ibn al-Ala', and Shu'ba was with us. When he was buried, Shu'ba said: This one narrated to me, and he pointed to the grave of Abu Sufyan ibn al-Ala'. He said: I said to al-Hasan: Who narrated to you that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Were it not that dogs are a community among communities, I would have ordered their killing'? He said: Abdullah ibn al-Mughaffal, by Allah besides whom there is no deity, narrated to me in this mosque, and he pointed to the congregational mosque.
