أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ «كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فِيمَا بَيْنَ أَنْ يَفْرُغَ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ وَهِيَ الَّتِي يَدْعُو النَّاسُ الْعَتَمَةَ إِلَى الْفَجْرِ إِحْدَى عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً يُسَلِّمُ فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَيُوتِرُ بِوَاحِدَةٍ فَإِذَا سَكَتَ الْمُؤَذِّنُ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ وَتَبَيَّنَ لَهُ الْفَجْرُ وَجَاءَهُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ قَامَ فَرَكَعَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ وَاضْطَجَعَ عَلَى شِقِّهِ الْأَيْمَنِ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَهُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ بِالْإِقَامَةِ»
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hadrat 'A'ishah (may Allah be well pleased with her) said: «The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to pray between the time he finished the 'Isha' prayer - which people call 'Atamah - until Fajr, eleven rak'ahs, giving salaam after every two rak'ahs and performing witr with one. When the mu'adhdhin became silent after the call for Fajr prayer, and Fajr became clear to him, and the mu'adhdhin came to him, he would stand and pray two brief rak'ahs, then lie down on his right side until the mu'adhdhin came to him with the iqamah.»
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے فرمایا: «رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم عشاء کی نماز سے فارغ ہونے کے بعد - جسے لوگ عتمہ کہتے ہیں - سے فجر تک گیارہ رکعتیں پڑھتے، ہر دو رکعتوں کے بعد سلام پھیرتے اور ایک سے وتر کرتے۔ جب مؤذن فجر کی نماز کی اذان سے خاموش ہو جاتا، اور فجر آپ کے لیے واضح ہو جاتی، اور مؤذن آپ کے پاس آتا، تو آپ کھڑے ہوتے اور دو ہلکی رکعتیں پڑھتے، پھر اپنے داہنے پہلو پر لیٹ جاتے یہاں تک کہ مؤذن اقامت کے ساتھ آپ کے پاس آتا۔»
