أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُدْرِكٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ النَّخَعِيُّ عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «أَيَعْجِزُ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَقْرَأَ ثُلُثَ الْقُرْآنِ كُلَّ لَيْلَةٍ؟ » قَالُوا وَمَنْ يُطِيقُ ذَلِكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ «{قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ} »
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: A man came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: 'I am ruined!' He said: 'What has ruined you?' He said: 'I had relations with my wife in Ramadan.' He said: 'Do you have the means to free a slave?' He said: 'No.' He said: 'Can you fast two consecutive months?' He said: 'No.' He said: 'Do you have the means to feed sixty poor people?' He said: 'No.' He said: 'Then sit down.' A large basket of dates was brought to the Prophet (peace be upon him), and he said: 'Give this in charity.' He said: 'To someone poorer than us? There is no household between its two lava plains more in need than my household.' The Prophet (peace be upon him) laughed until his molars showed and said: 'Go and feed your family with it.'
