أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ كُنَّا جُلُوسًا فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَدَخَلَ عَمَّارُ بْنُ يَاسِرٍ فَصَلَّى صَلَاةً خَفَّفَهَا فَمَرَّ بِنَا فَقِيلَ لَهُ يَا أَبَا الْيَقْظَانِ خَفَّفْتَ الصَّلَاةَ قَالَ أَوَ خَفِيفَةً رَأَيْتُمُوهَا؟ قُلْنَا نَعَمْ قَالَ أَمَا إِنِّي قَدْ دَعَوْتُ فِيهَا بِدُعَاءٍ قَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ahmad ibn Ali ibn al-Muthanna informed us, saying: Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, saying: Shu'bah narrated to us from al-Hakam from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Layla from al-Bara' ibn Azib, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'When you come to bed, perform ablution as you would for prayer, then lie on your right side and say: O Allah, I surrender my face to You, and I entrust my affair to You, and I commit my back to You, out of desire for You and fear of You. There is no refuge or escape from You except to You. I believe in Your Book which You revealed and in Your Prophet whom You sent. If you die that night, you will die upon the natural disposition. And make these words the last thing you say.'
