أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ الْمُعْتَمِرِ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عُتَيْبَةَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ مَكَثْنَا ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ نَنْتَظِرُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ لِعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ فَخَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا حِينَ ذَهَبَ ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ أَوْ بَعْدَهُ فَقَالَ حِينَ خَرَجَ «إِنَّكُمْ تَنْتَظِرُونَ صَلَاةً مَا يَنْتَظِرُهَا أَهْلُ دِينٍ غَيْرُكُمْ وَلَوْلَا أَنْ تَثْقُلَ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَصَلَّيْتُ بِهِمْ هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةَ هَذِهِ السَّاعَةَ» قَالَ ثُمَّ أَمَرَ الْمُؤَذِّنَ فَأَقَامَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Ibn Umar narrated: We waited one night for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for the final Isha prayer. He came out to us when a third of the night had passed or after it. When he came out, he said: 'You are waiting for a prayer that no people of any religion wait for except you. Were it not that it would be burdensome on my nation, I would pray this prayer with them at this hour.' He said: Then he commanded the muezzin, who established the prayer, then he prayed.
