Abd al-Wahid ibn Abi Awn al-Dawsi narrated: "Al-Nu'man ibn Abi al-Jawn al-Kindi — who lived with his clan in the Najd region near al-Sharbah — came to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) as a Muslim and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, shall I not marry you to the most beautiful unmarried woman in Arabia? She was married to a cousin who died, and she has become available. She desires you and proposes herself to you.' The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) married her with a dowry of twelve and a half uqiyyah. He (al-Nu'man) said: 'O Messenger of Allah, do not reduce her dowry.' The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'I have not given a dowry to any of my wives greater than this, nor do I give any of my daughters a dowry greater than this.' Al-Nu'man ibn Abi al-Jawn said: 'In you there is consolation.' Then he said: 'O Messenger of Allah, send someone to bring your bride, and I shall travel with your envoy and send the family with him.' The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) sent Hadrat Abu Usayd al-Sa'idi (may Allah be well pleased with him). When they arrived, she sat in her house and permitted him entry. Abu Usayd said: 'The women of the Messenger of Allah do not meet men face to face.' Abu Usayd said: 'This was after the verse of the veil was revealed.' She sent word agreeing to the condition. He explained: 'There must be a screen between you and any man you speak to, except your mahram.' She accepted. Abu Usayd said: 'I stayed three days, then traveled with the bride on a camel in a litter until I reached Madinah. I lodged her among Banu Sa'idah. The women of the neighborhood visited her, welcomed her, and then left, speaking of her beauty. News of her arrival spread throughout Madinah.' Abu Usayd al-Sa'idi said: 'I returned to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), who was in Banu Amr ibn Awf, and informed him.' Then a woman among the women entered upon her — having heard of her beauty, for she was among the most beautiful of women — and said: 'You are from royalty. If you want to be favored by the Messenger of Allah, seek refuge from him, and you will be favored by him and he will desire you.' Its chain is very weak.
الترجمة الأردية
عبدالواحد بن ابی عون الدوسی نے بیان کیا: "نعمان بن ابی جون الکندی — جو اپنے قبیلے کے ساتھ نجد میں شربہ کے قریب رہتے تھے — حضور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے پاس مسلمان ہو کر آئے اور عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! کیا میں آپ کا نکاح عرب کی سب سے خوبصورت بیوہ سے نہ کرا دوں؟ وہ ایک چچا زاد کے نکاح میں تھیں جو فوت ہو گئے۔ وہ آپ کی طرف مائل ہیں اور آپ سے خطبہ چاہتی ہیں۔ حضور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ساڑھے بارہ اوقیہ مہر پر ان سے نکاح فرمایا۔ اس نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! ان کے مہر میں کمی نہ کریں۔ حضور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: میں نے اپنی کسی بیوی کو اس سے زیادہ مہر نہیں دیا اور نہ اپنی کسی بیٹی کو اس سے زیادہ مہر دوں گا۔ نعمان بن ابی جون نے کہا: آپ میں ہی تسلی ہے۔ پھر کہا: یا رسول اللہ! کسی کو بھیجیے جو آپ کے اہل کو لائے۔ میں آپ کے قاصد کے ساتھ جاؤں گا اور اہل کو اس کے ساتھ بھیجوں گا۔ حضور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے حضرت ابواُسید الساعدی رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کو بھیجا۔ جب وہ دونوں پہنچے تو وہ اپنے گھر میں بیٹھیں اور انہیں اندر آنے کی اجازت دی۔ ابواُسید نے کہا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی بیویاں مردوں سے آمنے سامنے نہیں ملتیں۔ ابواُسید نے کہا: یہ آیتِ حجاب نازل ہونے کے بعد کی بات ہے۔ انہوں نے پیغام بھیجا تو میرا معاملہ آسان ہو گیا۔ کہا: تمہارے اور ہر غیر محرم مرد کے درمیان پردہ ہونا چاہیے۔ انہوں نے قبول کیا۔ ابواُسید نے کہا: میں تین دن ٹھہرا پھر دلہن کو اونٹ پر محفّے میں لے کر مدینہ آیا اور بنو ساعدہ میں اتارا۔ محلے کی عورتیں آئیں، خوش آمدید کہا، اور واپس جا کر ان کی خوبصورتی کا ذکر کیا۔ یہ خبر پورے مدینہ میں پھیل گئی۔ ابواُسید الساعدی نے کہا: میں حضور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے پاس واپس آیا جو بنو عمرو بن عوف میں تھے اور آپ کو خبر دی۔ ایک عورت ان کے پاس آئی — جس نے ان کی خوبصورتی کے بارے میں سنا تھا کیونکہ وہ سب سے خوبصورت خواتین میں سے تھیں — اور کہا: تم شاہی خاندان سے ہو۔ اگر تم رسول اللہ کے ہاں عزت پانا چاہتی ہو تو ان سے پناہ مانگو، تو تم ان کے ہاں عزت پاؤ گی اور وہ تمہاری طرف مائل ہوں گے۔ اس کی سند بہت کمزور ہے۔
