Narrated from Hadrat al-Zubayr ibn al-Awwam (may Allah be well pleased with him) who said: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) offered a sword on the Day of Uhud and stated: "Who will take this sword with its due right?" I stood up and said: "I will, O Messenger of Allah." But he turned away from me. Then he stated: "Who will take this sword with its due right?" I said: "I will, O Messenger of Allah." But he turned away from me. Then he stated: "Who will take this sword with its due right?" Hadrat Abu Dujanah Simak ibn Kharshah (may Allah be well pleased with him) stood up and said: "I will take it, O Messenger of Allah, with its due right. What is its right?" The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "That you do not kill a Muslim with it and do not flee with it from a disbeliever." So he gave it to him. He used to mark himself with a headband when he intended to fight. I said: "I shall watch him today and see what he does." He began cutting down everything that stood before him, destroying and tearing it apart, until he reached some women at the foot of the mountain who had drums. Among them was a woman who was chanting: "We are the daughters of Tariq, we walk upon silken cushions. If you advance, we shall embrace; and spread the cushions. If you retreat, we shall part; a parting without love." He raised his sword to strike a woman, then held back. When the battle was over, I said to him: "I saw all your deeds except when you raised the sword over the woman but did not strike her." He replied: "By Allah, I honored the sword of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) too much to kill a woman with it." This hadith has an authentic chain and neither Bukhari nor Muslim recorded it.
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت زبیر بن عوام رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ حضور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے غزوہ احد کے دن ایک تلوار پیش فرمائی اور ارشاد فرمایا: یہ تلوار اس کے حق کے ساتھ کون لے گا؟ میں کھڑا ہوا اور عرض کیا: میں، یا رسول اللہ! آپ نے مجھ سے اعراض فرمایا۔ پھر ارشاد فرمایا: یہ تلوار اس کے حق کے ساتھ کون لے گا؟ میں نے عرض کیا: میں، یا رسول اللہ! آپ نے مجھ سے اعراض فرمایا۔ پھر ارشاد فرمایا: یہ تلوار اس کے حق کے ساتھ کون لے گا؟ حضرت ابو دجانہ سماک بن خرشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کھڑے ہوئے اور عرض کیا: میں اسے لوں گا، یا رسول اللہ، اس کے حق کے ساتھ۔ اس کا حق کیا ہے؟ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: اس سے کسی مسلمان کو قتل نہ کرو اور کسی کافر سے لے کر بھاگو نہیں۔ پس آپ نے وہ انہیں دے دی۔ وہ جب لڑنے کا ارادہ کرتے تو پٹی باندھ کر نشانی بناتے۔ میں نے کہا: آج میں ان کو دیکھوں گا کہ کیا کرتے ہیں۔ پس وہ جو چیز بھی سامنے آتی اسے کاٹتے اور پھاڑتے رہے یہاں تک کہ پہاڑ کی تلہٹی میں کچھ عورتوں تک پہنچے جن کے پاس دف تھے۔ ان میں ایک عورت یہ گا رہی تھی: ہم طارق کی بیٹیاں ہیں، ہم مسندوں پر چلتی ہیں، اگر تم آگے بڑھو تو ہم گلے لگائیں اور مسندیں بچھائیں، اگر تم پیٹھ پھیرو تو ہم جدا ہو جائیں، ایسی جدائی جس میں محبت نہ ہو۔ انہوں نے ایک عورت پر تلوار اٹھائی پھر رک گئے۔ جب لڑائی ختم ہوئی تو میں نے ان سے کہا: تمہارا سارا عمل میں نے دیکھا سوائے اس کے کہ تم نے عورت پر تلوار اٹھائی مگر نہیں ماری۔ انہوں نے فرمایا: اللہ کی قسم! میں نے حضور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی تلوار کی عزت کی کہ اس سے عورت کو قتل نہ کروں۔ یہ حدیث صحیح الاسناد ہے مگر بخاری و مسلم نے اسے روایت نہیں کیا۔
