أَخْبَرَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " كَانَيَسْكُتُ سَكْتَتَيْنِ : إِذَا دَخَلَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ، وَإِذَا فَرَغَ مِنْ الْقِرَاءَةِ "، فَأَنْكَرَ ذَلِكَ عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ، فَكَتَبُوا إِلَى أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِمْ أَنْ قَدْ صَدَقَ سَمُرَةُ. قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد : كَانَ قَتَادَةُ يَقُولُ : ثَلَاثُ سَكَتَاتٍ، وَفِي الْحَدِيثِ الْمَرْفُوعِ سَكْتَتَانِ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Hadrat Samurah ibn Jundub (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to observe two pauses of silence: one when he entered the prayer, and one when he finished the recitation. Hadrat Imran ibn Husayn (may Allah be well pleased with him) denied this, so they wrote to Hadrat Ubayy ibn Ka'b (may Allah be well pleased with him), who wrote back confirming that Samurah had spoken the truth. Abu Muhammad said: Qatadah used to say there were three pauses, but the Marfu' hadith mentions only two.
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت سمرہ بن جندب رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم دو سکتے فرماتے تھے: ایک نماز شروع کرتے وقت اور ایک قراءت سے فارغ ہو کر۔ حضرت عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے اسے نہیں مانا، تو لوگوں نے حضرت ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کو لکھا، تو انہوں نے جواب دیا کہ سمرہ نے سچ کہا۔ ابو محمد نے کہا: قتادہ تین سکتے بتاتے تھے، لیکن مرفوع حدیث میں دو ہی ہیں۔
