Hadrat Imran ibn Husayn (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated: Al-Adba' (a she-camel) belonged to a man from Banu Aqil. He was captured and al-Adba' was seized. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) passed by him while he was in his bonds, and the man said: 'O Muhammad, why do you seize me and seize the foremost camel of the pilgrims when I have accepted Islam?' The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'Had you said this while you were free, you would have truly succeeded.' Then he stated: 'We take you on account of the crimes of your allies.' The tribe of Thaqif had captured two men from the Companions of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). The Beloved Messenger of Allah came riding on a donkey with a blanket, and the man said: 'O Muhammad, I am hungry, so feed me, and I am thirsty, so give me drink.' The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'This is your need.' Then the man was ransomed for the two men. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) kept al-Adba' for his riding, and it was among the foremost racing camels. Then the polytheists raided the pastures of Madinah and took them, including al-Adba', and captured a Muslim woman. When they encamped, they would let their camels roam in their courtyards. One night the woman got up while they were asleep. Every camel she touched bellowed, until she came to al-Adba' — a docile, well-trained she-camel of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). She mounted it and headed toward Madinah, vowing that if Allah saved her she would slaughter it. When she arrived, the she-camel was recognized and they brought her to the Beloved Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). The woman told him of her vow, and he stated: 'What a terrible way to repay it! Indeed Allah saved her and now she would slaughter it? There is no fulfillment of a vow made in disobedience to Allah, nor in what the son of Adam does not own.'
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ عضباء (ایک اونٹنی) بنو عقیل کے ایک شخص کی تھی۔ وہ شخص قید ہو گیا اور عضباء پکڑ لی گئی۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اس کے پاس سے گزرے جب کہ وہ بندھا ہوا تھا۔ اس نے کہا: اے محمد! آپ مجھے کیوں پکڑتے ہیں اور حاجیوں کی سبقت لے جانے والی اونٹنی کو کیوں لیتے ہیں جب کہ میں مسلمان ہو چکا ہوں؟ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: 'اگر تم نے یہ بات اس وقت کہی ہوتی جب تم آزاد تھے تو تم پوری طرح کامیاب ہو جاتے۔' پھر ارشاد فرمایا: 'ہم تمہیں تمہارے حلیفوں کے جرم کی وجہ سے پکڑ رہے ہیں۔' ثقیف نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے دو صحابہ کو قید کر رکھا تھا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ایک گدھے پر قطیفہ ڈالے ہوئے تشریف لائے۔ اس شخص نے کہا: اے محمد! مجھے بھوک لگی ہے مجھے کھلاؤ، اور پیاس لگی ہے مجھے پلاؤ۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: 'یہ تمہاری ضرورت ہے۔' پھر وہ شخص دو آدمیوں کے بدلے چھڑایا گیا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے عضباء کو اپنی سواری کے لیے رکھ لیا اور وہ حج کی تیز رفتار اونٹنیوں میں سے تھی۔ پھر مشرکوں نے مدینہ کے چراگاہوں پر حملہ کیا اور عضباء سمیت سب لے گئے اور ایک مسلمان عورت کو بھی قید کر لیا۔ جب وہ اترتے تو اپنے اونٹ صحنوں میں چھوڑ دیتے۔ ایک رات جب وہ سو گئے تو عورت اٹھی اور جس اونٹ پر بھی ہاتھ رکھتی وہ بلبلانے لگتا، یہاں تک کہ عضباء پر آئی — یہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی سیدھی سادھی تجربہ کار اونٹنی تھی۔ اس نے اس پر سوار ہو کر مدینہ کی طرف رخ کیا اور نذر مانی کہ اگر اللہ نے اسے بچا لیا تو اسے ذبح کر دے گی۔ جب وہ پہنچی تو اونٹنی پہچان لی گئی اور نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے پاس لائی گئی۔ عورت نے اپنی نذر بتائی تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: 'اس نے کیا بری جزا دی! اللہ نے اسے بچایا اور یہ اسے ذبح کرے گی؟ سنو! اللہ کی نافرمانی میں نذر پوری نہیں کی جائے گی، اور نہ اس چیز میں جو ابنِ آدم کی ملکیت نہ ہو۔'
