Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the first thing the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) did upon arriving in Makkah was to perform wudu and then perform tawaf. This tawaf alone did not constitute an Umrah. Then Abu Bakr al-Siddiq and Umar al-Faruq (may Allah be pleased with them both) also performed Hajj in the same manner.
الترجمة الأردية
ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا ہی سے روایت ہے کہسب سے پہلا کام جو رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے مکہ میں آتے ہی کیا یہ تھا کہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے وضو کیا، پھر طواف کیا پھر صرف طواف کرنے سے کوئی عمرہ نہیں ہوا تھا۔ پھر امیرالمؤمنین ابوبکر صدیق اور سیدنا عمر فاروق رضی اللہ عنہما نے بھی اسی طرح حج کیا۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 817]
