Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When my father was martyred (at the Battle of Uhud), I kept lifting the cloth from his face and weeping. The people would stop me, but the Prophet (peace be upon him) did not stop me. Then my aunt Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) also began crying. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Whether you weep or not, the angels kept shading him with their wings until you lifted him up (from the battlefield)."
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہمیرے والد جب (غزوہ احد) میں شہید ہوئے تو میں باربار ان کے چہرے سے کپڑا ہٹاتا تھا اور روتا تھا تو لوگ مجھے منع کرتے تھے مگر نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلممجھے منع نہ فرماتے تھے۔ پھر میری پھوپھی فاطمہ رضی اللہ عنہا بھی رونے لگیں تو رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”تم روؤ یا نہ روؤ، فرشتے برابر ان پر اپنے پروں سے سایہ کیے رہے، یہاں تک کہ تم نے انہیں (میدان جنگ سے) اٹھایا۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 637]
