Malik ibn al-Huwairith (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Two men came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) intending to travel. The Prophet told them: 'When you set out and the time of prayer comes, give the adhan, then call the iqamah, and let the elder of you lead the prayer.'"
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا مالک بن حویرث رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہدو شخص نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس سفر کے ارادے سے آئے تو ان سے نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے کہا:”جب تم نکلو (اور نماز کا وقت آ جائے) تو تم اذان دو پھر اقامت کہو اس کے بعد جو تم میں سے بڑا ہو وہ تمہارا امام بنے۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 384]
