Narrated Abu Ayyub al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "It is not lawful for a Muslim to remain apart from his (Muslim) brother for more than three nights, such that when they meet, this one turns his face away and that one turns his face away. The better of the two is the one who is first to greet with the salam and to initiate the meeting."
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابوایوب انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”کسی مسلمان کو یہ لائق نہیں ہے کہ تین رات سے زیادہ اپنے بھائی (مسلمان) سے ترک ملاقات کرے (یعنی) جب ایک دوسرے سے ملیں تو یہ اس سے منہ پھیر لے اور وہ اس سے منہ پھیر لے اور ان دونوں میں اچھا وہ ہے جو (اپنے مقابل سے) سلام اور ملاقات کی ابتداء کرے۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 2038]
