Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said: A man came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: My brother has a stomach ailment (i.e., he has diarrhea). He (peace be upon him) said: "Give him honey to drink." (So he went and gave it to him.) Then he came again (and said that he had not yet improved). He said: "Give him more honey to drink." (He went and gave it.) Then he returned and (said that he still had not improved and) I have done everything. So he (peace be upon him) said: "Allah's word ('In this honey there is healing for people') is true, and your brother's stomach is lying; so keep giving him honey to drink." So he kept giving it to him, and he became healthy.
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہایک شخص نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس آیا اور عرض کرنے لگا کہ میرے بھائی کو پیٹ کی تکلیف ہے (یعنی دست آ رہے ہیں) آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”اس کو شہد پلاؤ۔“(چنانچہ اس نے جا کر پلایا) پھر وہ دوبارہ آیا (اور عرض کی کہ اس کو ابھی آرام نہیں آیا) فرمایا اور شہد پلاؤ۔“(وہ گیا اور پلایا) پھر لوٹ کر آیا اور (کہ اب بھی آرام نہیں آیا اور) میں سب کچھ کر چکا ہوں تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”اللہ کا فرمانا (”اس شہد میں لوگوں کے لیے شفاء ہے۔“) سچ ہے اور تیرے بھائی کا پیٹ جھوٹا ہے اس لیے تو شہد ہی پلائے جائے۔“چنانچہ وہ پلاتا رہا، پس وہ تندرست ہو گیا۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1964]
