Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to say: "The likeness of a believer is that of a fresh crop, which the wind bends from whichever side it comes, and when the wind is absent it straightens up again. Thus the believer is protected from calamity in this way. And the likeness of the sinner is that of a cypress tree, which stands straight and firm, and Allah uproots it whenever He wishes."
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمفرماتے تھے:”مومن کی مثال تازہ کھیتی کی مانند ہے کہ جس طرف سے ہوا آتی ہے اسے جھکا دیتی ہے اور ہوا کے نہ ہونے کے وقت سیدھی ہو جاتی ہے پس مومن، بلا سے اس طرح بچا رہتا ہے اور گنہگار کی مثال صنوبر کے پیڑ کی سی ہے کہ سیدھا سخت کھڑا رہتا ہے (تو) اللہ جب چاہتا ہے اسے اکھیڑ دیتا ہے۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1950]
