It is narrated from Sahl ibn Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) came to the dwelling of Banu Sa'idah and said: "O Sahl! Give us water to drink." I took out this bowl and gave him (water) to drink in it. The narrator says that Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) took out that same bowl for us and we drank (something) from it. Afterward Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him) asked for that bowl as a gift, and he gave it to him.
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا سہل بن سعد رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمبنی ساعدہ کے مکان میں آئے اور فرمایا:”اے سہل! ہمیں پانی پلاؤ۔“میں نے اس پیالہ کو نکال کر اس میں آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو (پانی) پلایا۔ راوی کہتے ہیں کہ سیدنا سہل رضی اللہ عنہ نے وہی پیالہ ہمارے لیے نکالا اور ہم نے اس سے (کچھ) پیا۔ اس کے بعد عمر بن عبدالعزیز رحمہ اللہ نے تحفتاً وہ پیالہ مانگا تو انھوں نے انھیں دے دیا۔[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1947]
