Narrated Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them): The phrase 'Hasbunallahu wa ni'mal wakeel (Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Disposer of affairs)' was said by Ibrahim (peace be upon him) when he was thrown into the fire, and the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said it when the people told him: 'The disbelieving Quraysh have gathered a great army against you, so fear them.' Upon hearing this, the Companions' faith increased and they said: 'Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Disposer of affairs.'
الترجمة الأردية
سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ((حسبنا اﷲ ونعم الوکیل)) سیدنا ابراہیم علیہ السلام نے اس وقت کہا تھا جب وہ آگ میں ڈالے گئے تھے اور رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے بھی یہ کلمہ اس وقت کہا تھا جب لوگوں نے ان سے کہا:”قریش کے کافروں نے آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے لڑنے کے لیے بہت بڑا لشکر جمع کیا ہے ان سے ڈرتے رہنا۔ یہ خبر سن کر صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہم کا ایمان بڑھ گیا اور انھوں نے یہی کہا کہ ہمیں اللہ تعالیٰ ہی کافی ہے اور وہ اچھا کام کرنے والا ہے۔“[مختصر صحيح بخاري/حدیث: 1726]
