Hadrat Abu Bakra (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates, mentioning the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), that he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was seated on his camel and a man was holding its rein. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) asked: What day is today? We remained silent, thinking he might give it another name. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) declared: Is it not the Day of Sacrifice? We submitted: Indeed it is. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) asked: Which month is this? We remained silent, thinking he might give it another name. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) declared: Is this not Dhul-Hijjah? We submitted: Indeed it is. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) declared: Verily, your blood, your wealth, and your honour are sacred to one another, like the sanctity of this day of yours, in this month of yours, in this city of yours. Let those present convey this to those absent, for perhaps the one present may convey it to one who comprehends it better than he does.
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت ابوبکرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کا تذکرہ فرماتے ہوئے بتایا کہ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اونٹ پر تشریف فرما تھے اور ایک شخص نے اس کی نکیل تھام رکھی تھی۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: آج یہ کون سا دن ہے؟ ہم خاموش رہے یہاں تک کہ ہم نے سمجھا کہ شاید آپ اس کا کوئی اور نام رکھیں گے۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: کیا آج قربانی کا دن نہیں ہے؟ ہم نے عرض کیا: بے شک۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: یہ کون سا مہینہ ہے؟ ہم خاموش رہے، سمجھے کہ شاید آپ کوئی اور نام فرمائیں گے۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: کیا یہ ذو الحجہ نہیں ہے؟ ہم نے عرض کیا: بے شک۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: یقیناً تمہارے خون، تمہارے مال اور تمہاری عزتیں ایک دوسرے پر اسی طرح حرام ہیں جس طرح آج کے دن کی حرمت ہے، اس مہینے میں اور اس شہر میں۔ حاضر کو چاہیے کہ غائب تک یہ بات پہنچا دے، کیونکہ بسا اوقات حاضر ایسے شخص کو یہ خبر پہنچاتا ہے جو اس سے زیادہ یاد رکھنے والا ہو۔
