It is narrated by Hadrat Abu Hurayra (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) declared: "Horses are for three persons: for one man they are a source of reward, for another they are a means of shelter (livelihood), and upon another they are a burden (sin). As for the one who earns reward, he is the one who ties his horse in the path of Allah, keeping it on a long tether in a pasture or garden; whatever it eats within the range of its tether from that pasture or garden will be recorded as good deeds for him. If it breaks its tether and gallops over a hill or two, even its dung and hoof-marks will be recorded as good deeds for him. And if it passes by a river and drinks from it, even though its owner did not intend to water it, that too will be good deeds for him. And the one who ties his horse out of pride, showing off, and enmity toward the people of Islam — it will be a burden (sin) upon him." The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was asked about donkeys, and he stated: "Nothing has been revealed to me concerning them except this comprehensive and unique verse: {Whoever does an atom's weight of good shall see it, and whoever does an atom's weight of evil shall see it}."
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: "گھوڑے تین قسم کے لوگوں کے لیے ہیں: ایک شخص کے لیے اجر ہے، ایک شخص کے لیے پردہ ہے، اور ایک شخص پر بوجھ ہے۔ جس کے لیے اجر ہے وہ شخص ہے جس نے اسے اللہ کے راستے میں باندھا، اسے چراگاہ یا باغ میں لمبی رسی سے باندھا، تو جو کچھ بھی وہ اس رسی کی حد میں چراگاہ یا باغ سے کھائے وہ اس کے لیے نیکیاں ہوں گی۔ اور اگر وہ رسی توڑ کر ایک دو ٹیلے بھاگ جائے تو اس کی لید اور قدموں کے نشانات بھی اس کے لیے نیکیاں ہوں گی۔ اور اگر وہ کسی نہر سے گزرے اور پانی پی لے اور مالک نے اسے پلانے کا ارادہ نہیں کیا تھا تب بھی یہ اس کے لیے نیکیاں ہوں گی۔ اور جس نے فخر، ریاکاری اور مسلمانوں سے دشمنی کے لیے گھوڑا رکھا تو یہ اس پر بوجھ (گناہ) ہوگا۔" اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے گدھوں کے بارے میں پوچھا گیا تو ارشاد فرمایا: "ان کے بارے میں مجھ پر اس ایک جامع اور بے مثال آیت کے سوا کچھ نازل نہیں ہوا: {فَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَرَهُ * وَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُ} (جو ذرہ بھر نیکی کرے گا وہ اسے دیکھے گا اور جو ذرہ بھر برائی کرے گا وہ اسے دیکھے گا)۔"
