حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ،. وَقَالَ اللَّيْثُ حَدَّثَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ قُتِلَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ شَهِيدًا، فَاشْتَدَّ الْغُرَمَاءُ فِي حُقُوقِهِمْ، فَأَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَكَلَّمْتُهُ، فَسَأَلَهُمْ أَنْ يَقْبَلُوا ثَمَرَ حَائِطِي، وَيُحَلِّلُوا أَبِي، فَأَبَوْا، فَلَمْ يُعْطِهِمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم حَائِطِي، وَلَمْ يَكْسِرْهُ لَهُمْ، وَلَكِنْ قَالَ " سَأَغْدُو عَلَيْكَ ". فَغَدَا عَلَيْنَا حَتَّى أَصْبَحَ، فَطَافَ فِي النَّخْلِ، وَدَعَا فِي ثَمَرِهِ بِالْبَرَكَةِ، فَجَدَدْتُهَا، فَقَضَيْتُهُمْ حُقُوقَهُمْ، وَبَقِيَ لَنَا مِنْ ثَمَرِهَا بَقِيَّةٌ، ثُمَّ جِئْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهْوَ جَالِسٌ، فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ بِذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِعُمَرَ " اسْمَعْ ـ وَهْوَ جَالِسٌ ـ يَا عُمَرُ ". فَقَالَ أَلاَّ يَكُونُ قَدْ عَلِمْنَا أَنَّكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ، وَاللَّهِ إِنَّكَ لَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Narrated to us by Abdan, Hadrat Abdullah informed us, Yunus informed us. And Laith said Yunus narrated to me, from Ibn Shihab, he said Ibn Ka'b bin Malik narrated to me that Hadrat Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be well pleased with them both) informed him that his father (Hadrat Abdullah bin Haram, may Allah be well pleased with him) was martyred on the day of Uhud, and the creditors pressed hard for their dues. I went to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and mentioned this to him. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) asked them to accept the fruit of my garden and absolve my father, but they refused. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) did not give them my garden nor did he break it up for them, but he declared, 'I shall come to you in the morning.' He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) came to us in the morning, walked around the date palms, and supplicated for blessing in their fruit. I picked the dates, paid off all their dues, and there was still some fruit remaining. Then I went to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) while he was seated and informed him of this. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) declared to Hadrat Umar (may Allah be well pleased with him), who was sitting, 'O Umar! Listen.' Hadrat Umar (may Allah be well pleased with him) submitted, 'How could we not know that you are the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)! By Allah, indeed you are the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him).'
الترجمة الأردية
ہم سے عبدان نے بیان کیا، ہم کو عبداللہ نے خبر دی، ہم کو یونس نے خبر دی۔ اور لیث نے فرمایا مجھ سے یونس نے بیان کیا، ابن شہاب سے، فرمایا مجھ سے ابن کعب بن مالک نے بیان کیا کہ حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما نے انہیں خبر دی کہ ان کے والد (حضرت عبداللہ بن حرام رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) غزوۂ احد میں شہید ہوئے اور قرض خواہوں نے اپنے حقوق کے لیے سختی شروع کر دی۔ میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور آپ سے اس کا ذکر کیا۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ان سے درخواست فرمائی کہ وہ باغ کے پھل قبول کر لیں اور میرے والد کو بری کر دیں، لیکن انہوں نے انکار کر دیا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ان کو میرا باغ نہیں دیا اور نہ ہی ان کے لیے اسے توڑا بلکہ ارشاد فرمایا: میں صبح تمہارے پاس آؤں گا۔ چنانچہ صبح ہوتے ہی آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ہمارے پاس تشریف لائے، کھجوروں کے درختوں میں چکر لگایا اور ان کے پھلوں میں برکت کی دعا فرمائی۔ میں نے کھجوریں توڑیں اور ان کے حقوق ادا کر دیے اور پھر بھی پھلوں میں سے کچھ بچ رہا۔ پھر میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا، آپ تشریف فرما تھے، اور آپ کو یہ خبر دی۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے حضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے (جو بیٹھے ہوئے تھے) ارشاد فرمایا: اے عمر! سنو۔ حضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے عرض کیا: ہمیں کیوں نہ معلوم ہوتا کہ آپ اللہ کے رسول ہیں! بخدا! آپ یقیناً اللہ کے رسول ہیں۔
