حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى، عَنْ ثَوْرٍ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " مَا أَكَلَ أَحَدٌ طَعَامًا قَطُّ خَيْرًا مِنْ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ مِنْ عَمَلِ يَدِهِ، وَإِنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ دَاوُدَ ـ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ ـ كَانَ يَأْكُلُ مِنْ عَمَلِ يَدِهِ ".
الترجمة الإنجليزية
It is narrated from Hadrat Miqdam (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) declared: No one has ever eaten food better than that which he earned through the labor of his own hands. And indeed, the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) of Allah, Hadrat Dawud (upon him be peace), used to eat from the earnings of his own hands.
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت مقدام رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: کسی شخص نے اس سے بہتر کھانا کبھی نہیں کھایا کہ اپنے ہاتھ کی محنت سے کھائے، اور اللہ تعالیٰ کے نبی حضرت داؤد علیہ السلام اپنے ہاتھ کی کمائی سے کھایا کرتے تھے۔
