حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ، قَالَ خَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَخَرَجَ يَجُرُّ رِدَاءَهُ حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ، وَثَابَ النَّاسُ إِلَيْهِ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَكْعَتَيْنِ، فَانْجَلَتِ الشَّمْسُ فَقَالَ " إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ، وَإِنَّهُمَا لاَ يَخْسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ، وَإِذَا كَانَ ذَاكَ فَصَلُّوا وَادْعُوا حَتَّى يُكْشَفَ مَا بِكُمْ ". وَذَاكَ أَنَّ ابْنًا لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَاتَ، يُقَالُ لَهُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ، فَقَالَ النَّاسُ فِي ذَاكَ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
It is narrated from Hadrat Abu Bakra (may Allah be well pleased with him) who said: In the era of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), the sun eclipsed and he came out dragging his blessed garment in haste until he reached the mosque. The Companions (may Allah be well pleased with them) gathered around him, and he led them in a two rak'a prayer. By the time the prayer ended, the sun had cleared. He then declared: 'The sun and the moon are two signs among the signs of Allah; they do not eclipse because of anyone's death. So when an eclipse occurs, occupy yourselves with prayer and supplication until it clears.' This was said because the beloved son of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), Hadrat Ibrahim (may Allah be well pleased with him), had passed away on that day, and the people had begun saying that the eclipse occurred because of his passing.
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت ابوبکرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے زمانے میں سورج گرہن لگا تو آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اپنی چادر مبارک گھسیٹتے ہوئے تیزی سے مسجد میں تشریف لائے۔ صحابہ کرام رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہم بھی جمع ہو گئے۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے انہیں دو رکعت نماز پڑھائی، پھر گرہن ختم ہو گیا۔ اس کے بعد آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: سورج اور چاند اللہ تعالیٰ کی نشانیوں میں سے دو نشانیاں ہیں اور ان میں گرہن کسی کی موت پر نہیں لگتا۔ لہٰذا جب گرہن لگے تو نماز اور دعا میں مشغول رہو جب تک یہ صاف نہ ہو جائے۔ یہ اس لیے فرمایا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے لختِ جگر حضرت ابراہیم رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کی وفات اسی دن ہوئی تھی اور لوگ کہنے لگے تھے کہ ان کی وفات کے سبب گرہن لگا ہے۔
