حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَخْطُبُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ إِذْ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، قَحَطَ الْمَطَرُ فَادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَسْقِيَنَا. فَدَعَا فَمُطِرْنَا، فَمَا كِدْنَا أَنْ نَصِلَ إِلَى مَنَازِلِنَا فَمَا زِلْنَا نُمْطَرُ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ الْمُقْبِلَةِ. قَالَ فَقَامَ ذَلِكَ الرَّجُلُ أَوْ غَيْرُهُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَصْرِفَهُ عَنَّا. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " اللَّهُمَّ حَوَالَيْنَا وَلاَ عَلَيْنَا ". قَالَ فَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ السَّحَابَ يَتَقَطَّعُ يَمِينًا وَشِمَالاً يُمْطَرُونَ وَلاَ يُمْطَرُ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ.
الترجمة الإنجليزية
It is narrated from Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) who said: While the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was delivering the Friday Khutba, a man came and submitted: 'O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)! Rain is scarce; please pray to Allah to grant us rain.' So he prayed and it rained so heavily that we could hardly reach our homes, and it continued raining until the next Friday. Then the same or another person stood up and submitted: 'O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)! Pray to Allah to divert the rain from us.' The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) prayed: 'O Allah! Around us and not upon us.' Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) stated: I saw the clouds dispersing to the right and left, and it continued raining around but not over Madinah.
الترجمة الأردية
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم جمعہ کے دن خطبہ ارشاد فرما رہے تھے کہ ایک شخص آیا اور عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! بارش کا قحط پڑ گیا ہے، اللہ تعالیٰ سے دعا فرمائیں کہ ہمیں سیراب فرمائے۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے دعا فرمائی تو بارش اس طرح شروع ہوئی کہ گھروں تک پہنچنا مشکل ہو گیا۔ دوسرے جمعہ تک مسلسل بارش ہوتی رہی۔ پھر وہی شخص یا کوئی اور کھڑا ہوا اور عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! اللہ تعالیٰ سے دعا فرمائیں کہ بارش کا رخ کسی اور طرف موڑ دے۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے دعا فرمائی: اے اللہ! ہمارے اردگرد برسا، ہم پر نہ برسا۔ حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے دیکھا کہ بادل ٹکڑے ٹکڑے ہو کر دائیں بائیں چلے گئے اور وہاں بارش ہوتی رہی مگر مدینہ منورہ میں نہیں ہوئی۔
