Hadrat Aishah (may Allah be well pleased with her) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «When Allah loves a servant, He calls Jibril and says: 'Indeed, I love so-and-so, so love him.' Then Jibril loves him, then Jibril proclaims in the heavens: 'Indeed, Allah loves so-and-so, so love him.' So the inhabitants of the heavens love him, then acceptance is placed for him on earth. And when Allah hates a servant, He calls Jibril and says: 'Indeed, I hate so-and-so, so hate him.' Then Jibril hates him, then Jibril proclaims in the heavens: 'Indeed, Allah hates so-and-so, so hate him.' So the inhabitants of the heavens hate him, then hatred is placed for him on earth.» This hadith has been narrated by more than one from az-Zuhri from Urwah from Aishah (may Allah be well pleased with her).
