حَدَّثَنا مُحَمَّد بن عبد الملك حَدَّثَنا بشر بن المفضل حَدَّثَنا خالد عن عبد الله بن شقيق عن أبي هريرة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إذا استيقظ أحدكم فلا يغمس يده في إنائه حتى يغسها ثلاث مرار فإنه لا يدري أين باتت يَدِهِوَهَذَا الحديثُ لاَ نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنْ عبد الله بن شقيق إلا خالد وقد روي عن أبي هريرة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ من طرق اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إذا استيقظ أحدكم فلا يغمس يده في إنائه حتى يغسها ثلاث مرار فإنه لا يدري أين باتت يَدِهِوَهَذَا الحديثُ لاَ نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنْ عبد الله بن شقيق إلا خالد وقد روي عن أبي هريرة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ من طرق

Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us, Abu Amir narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us from Budayl from Abdullah ibn Shaqiq from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) who stated: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: "The Fire complained to its Lord saying: O Lord, parts of me are consuming other parts. So He permitted it two breaths — a breath in winter and a breath in summer. As for its breath in winter, that is the bitter cold; and as for its breath in summer, that is the scorching heat."
