Yusuf ibn Musa narrated to us, Abd al-Malik ibn Harun ibn Antarah narrated to us from his father from his grandfather from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) who said: My beloved friend [the Prophet] advised me with three things: the Witr prayer before sleeping, fasting three days of every month, and not to sleep except after having prayed the Witr. We do not know that Antarah narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) except this hadith, and no one narrated it except Abd al-Malik ibn Harun from his father from his grandfather. Abd al-Malik is weak in hadith, while his father is trustworthy. Muhammad ibn Wasi narrated from Ma'ruf from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) that he said: My beloved friend advised me with three things — and he mentioned a similar narration. This is from what Nasr ibn Ali narrated to us, who said: Nuh ibn Qays narrated to us from Muhammad ibn Wasi from Ma'ruf from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) with this hadith.
