حَدَّثَنا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُور قالا حَدَّثَنا عبد الرزاق أَخْبَرنَا معمر عن همام عن أبي هريرة رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إنما سمي الخضر لأنه صلى على فروة بيضاء فاهتزت تحته خضراء اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إنما سمي الخضر لأنه صلى على فروة بيضاء فاهتزت تحته خضراء
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Salamah ibn Shabib and Ahmad ibn Mansur narrated to us, they said: Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar informed us from Hammam from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) who stated: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: "Al-Khidr was named so because he prayed upon a white barren land and it turned green beneath him."
