حدثنا أبو بَكْر مُحَمَّد بن عبد الملك بن زنجويه حَدَّثَنا مُحَمَّد بن يوسف الفريابي حدثنا سفيان عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لن ينجي أحد منكم عمله قالوا ولا أنت يا رسول الله قال ولا أنا إلا أن يتغمدني الله منه برحمة وفضل ولو يؤاخذني أنا وعيسى بن جنى هذين لأوبقنا وأشار بالسبابة والوسطى

Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Abd al-Malik ibn Zanjuyah narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Yusuf al-Firyabi narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Abu Salih, from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) who stated: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «No one's deeds will save him.» They asked: 'Not even you, O Messenger of Allah?' He stated: «Not even me, except that Allah covers me with His mercy and grace. If He were to take me and Isa ibn Maryam to account for these two» — and he pointed to his index and middle fingers — «He would destroy us.»
