حدثناه محمد بن المُثَنَّى بن عبيد حَدَّثَنا موسى بن مسعود حَدَّثَنا سفيان عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كان يصلي حتى ترم قَدَمَاهُ فَقِيلَ لَهُ أَتَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ وَقَدْ غَفَرَ الله لك قَالَ أَفَلا أَكُونُ عَبْدًا شَكُورًاوَهَذَا الحديثُ لاَ نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عن الثوري إلا موسى بن مسعود
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna ibn Ubaid narrated to us, Musa ibn Mas'ud narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Abu Salih, from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) would pray until his feet became swollen. He was asked: 'Do you do this when Allah has already forgiven you?' He stated: «Should I not then be a grateful servant?» This hadith — we do not know that anyone narrated it from al-Thawri except Musa ibn Mas'ud.
