حدثنا يحيى بن داود الواسطيّ حَدَّثَنا أبو معاوية عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هريرة قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كم مضى من الشهر قلنا اثنان وعشرون وبقي ثمان قال لا بل مضى اثنان وعشرون وبقي سبع اطلبوها الليلة ثم قال الشهر تسع وعشرون

And with it, from Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «When one of you wakes from sleep, let him not put his hand in the vessel until he washes it three times, for he does not know where his hand spent the night.»
