حَدَّثنا مُحَمد بن عَبد الملك قَال حَدَّثنا أَبُو عَوَانة عَن عَبد اللَّهِ بْنِ عُثمَان بْنِ خُثَيم عَن سَعِيد بْنِ جُبَير عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِي اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ قَالَ رَسُول اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم مِنْ خَيْرِ أَكْحَالِكُمُ الإِثْمِدُ فَإِنَّهُ يَجْلُو الْبَصَرَ وَيُنْبِتُ الشَّعْرَوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ قَدْ رُوِيَ عَنِ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ وَهَذَا الإِسْنَادُ مِنْ أَحْسَنِ إِسْنَادٍ يُرْوَى فِي ذَلِكَ عَنِ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم الإِثْمِدُ فَإِنَّهُ يَجْلُو الْبَصَرَ وَيُنْبِتُ الشَّعْرَوَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ قَدْ رُوِيَ عَنِ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ وَهَذَا الإِسْنَادُ مِنْ أَحْسَنِ إِسْنَادٍ يُرْوَى فِي ذَلِكَ عَنِ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم

Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: «The best of your kohl is antimony (ithmid), for it brightens the sight and causes hair to grow.» This hadith has been narrated from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) through various chains, and this chain is among the best chains through which it is narrated from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him).
