حَدَّثنا عَبد الواحد بن غياث قَال حَدَّثنا عَدِيّ بن الفضل قَال حَدَّثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ عَن أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَقال غَيْرُهُ عَن أَبِي الزُّبَير عَن سَعِيد بْنِ جُبَير عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُول اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم لَمَّا أُصِيبَ إِخْوَانُكُمْ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ أَرْوَاحَهُمْ فِي جَوْفِ طَيْرٍ خُضْرٍ تَرِدُ أَنْهَارَ الْجَنَّةِ وَتَأْكُلُ مِنْ ثِمَارِهَا وَتَأْوِي إِلَى قَنَادِيلَ مُعَلَّقَةٍ فِي ظِلِّ الْعَرْشِ فَلَمَّا وَجَدُوا طِيبَ مَطْعَمِهِمْ وَمَشْرَبِهِمْ قَالُوا لَوْ يَعْلَمُونَ بِمَا أُكْرَمْنَا قَالَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى أَنَا مُعْلِمُهُمْ عَنْكُمْ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ وَلا تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ قُتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَمْوَاتًا بَلْ أَحْيَاءٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُونَ فَرِحِينَ بِمَا آتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ وَيَسْتَبْشِرُونَ بِالَّذِينَ لَمْ يَلْحَقُوا بِهِمْ مِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ أَلَّا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ ولاَ هُمْ يحزنون اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم لَمَّا أُصِيبَ إِخْوَانُكُمْ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ أَرْوَاحَهُمْ فِي جَوْفِ طَيْرٍ خُضْرٍ تَرِدُ أَنْهَارَ الْجَنَّةِ وَتَأْكُلُ مِنْ ثِمَارِهَا وَتَأْوِي إِلَى قَنَادِيلَ مُعَلَّقَةٍ فِي ظِلِّ الْعَرْشِ فَلَمَّا وَجَدُوا طِيبَ مَطْعَمِهِمْ وَمَشْرَبِهِمْ قَالُوا لَوْ يَعْلَمُونَ بِمَا أُكْرَمْنَا قَالَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى أَنَا مُعْلِمُهُمْ عَنْكُمْ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ وَلا تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ قُتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَمْوَاتًا بَلْ أَحْيَاءٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُونَ فَرِحِينَ بِمَا آتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ وَيَسْتَبْشِرُونَ بِالَّذِينَ لَمْ يَلْحَقُوا بِهِمْ مِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ أَلَّا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ ولاَ هُمْ يحزنون
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abd al-Wahid ibn Ghiyath narrated to us, he said: Adi ibn al-Fadl narrated to us, he said: Isma'il ibn Umayyah narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Ibn Abbas — and others said from Abu al-Zubayr, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr — from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: «When your brothers were struck down [at Uhud], Allah placed their souls inside green birds that go to the rivers of Paradise and eat from its fruits, and take shelter in lamps suspended in the shade of the Throne. When they found the goodness of their food and drink, they said: 'If only they [the living] knew what honor has been bestowed upon us!' Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, said: 'I shall inform them on your behalf.' So Allah revealed: 'And do not think of those who have been killed in the way of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision, rejoicing in what Allah has bestowed upon them of His bounty, and receiving glad tidings about those who have not yet joined them from behind — that there shall be no fear upon them, nor shall they grieve.'»
