حَدَّثنا عَبدة بن عَبد الله قال أَخْبَرَنَا سُفيان بْنُ عُقْبَةَ وَمُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ عَنْ سُفيان عَن عَاصِم بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ عَن أَبيهِ عَن وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْر رَضِي اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيه وَسَلَّم وَلِي شَعَرٌ طَوِيلٌ فَقَالَ ذُبَابٌ فَذَهَبْتُ فَأَخَذْتُهُ ثُمَّ جِئْتُ فَقَالَ لَمْ أَعْنِكَ وَهَذَا أَحْسَنُ
الترجمة الإنجليزية
Abda ibn Abdullah narrated to us, he said: Sufyan ibn Uqba and Mu'awiya ibn Hisham informed us from Sufyan from Asim ibn Kulayb from his father from Wa'il ibn Hujr (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) with long hair. He said: "Harmful [cut it]." So I went and cut it, then came back. He said: "I did not mean you, and this is better."
