حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ قَالَ نَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ قَالَ لَقِيتُ خَالِي وَمَعَهُ الرَّايَةُ فَقَالَ أَيْنَ تُرِيدُ قَالَ بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى رَجُلٍ تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةَ أَبِيهِ وَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَضْرِبَ عُنُقَهُ وَقَالَ اقْتُلْهُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى رَجُلٍ تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةَ أَبِيهِ وَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَضْرِبَ عُنُقَهُ وَقَالَ اقْتُلْهُ

Shu'ayb ibn Ayyub narrated to us, he said: Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us, from Sufyan and al-Hasan ibn Salih, from al-Suddi, from 'Adi ibn Thabit, from al-Bara', who said: I met my maternal uncle and he had the banner. I said: "Where are you heading?" He said: "The Messenger of Allah, blessings and peace of Allah be upon him, sent me to a man who married his father's wife, and he ordered me to strike his neck" — and he said — "kill him."
