حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْقُطَعِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيِّ عَنِ الْمُسْتَوْرِدِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُخَلِّلُ أَصَابِعَ رِجْلَيْهِ بِخِنْصَرِهِ حَيْثُ تَوَضَّأَ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا يَرْوِيهِ بِهَذَا اللَّفْظِ إِلَّا بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنِ الْمُسْتَوْرِدِ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ نَحْوُ كَلَامِهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ بِغَيْرِ هَذَا اللَّفْظِ وَسَلَّمَ يُخَلِّلُ أَصَابِعَ رِجْلَيْهِ بِخِنْصَرِهِ حَيْثُ تَوَضَّأَ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَا نَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا يَرْوِيهِ بِهَذَا اللَّفْظِ إِلَّا بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنِ الْمُسْتَوْرِدِ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ نَحْوُ كَلَامِهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ بِغَيْرِ هَذَا اللَّفْظِ

Muhammad ibn Yahya al-Quta'i narrated to us, he said: Bishr ibn Umar narrated to us, he said: Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us from Yazid ibn Amr from Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Hubuli from al-Mustawrid ibn Shaddad (may Allah be well pleased with him) who said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) interlacing the toes of his feet with his little finger when he performed ablution. This hadith — we do not know of anyone who narrates it with this wording except through this chain from al-Mustawrid. Similar wording has been narrated from the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) through other chains with different wordings.
